The University of the West of England, Bristol is a public research university. It dwells in and around Bristol, England. It is made up of several campuses in Greater Bristol with the main campus being located at Frenchay and other three namely City Campus, Glenside Campus and Gloucester Campus respectively. It received university status in 1992. The university has been ranked 36th out of 121 UK institutions in the Guardian League Table 2022. It has also been awarded Gold in the Government’s 2018 Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework, TEF. UWE Bristol is dedicated to solving future global challenges through outstanding learning, world-leading research and a culture of enterprise.

UWE Bristol holds pride in welcoming students from over 166 nations across the globe with different ideas, perspectives and beliefs. The courses in the university are created in partnership with industry professionals with over 150 of them being accredited by professionals from industry bodies. Apart from excellent teaching it also focuses on equipping students with most-in-demand skills in order to prepare them for the job industry once they graduate from UWE Bristol. The university offers a wide range of courses with several being ranked as the top courses by Guardian University League Tables 2021. The highly ranked subjects include Education and Teaching (2nd), Film, Production and Photography (4th), Social Work (5th), Mathematics and Philosophy (8th), Architecture and Psychology (12th), Engineering: mechanical (13th), English & Creative Writing (14th), Engineering: general (21st), Business, management & marketing (22nd), Journalism, publishing & public relations (25th), Computer science & information systems and Engineering: electronic & electrical (26th) and Music (30th). The university is divided into five faculties including:

Apart from its centers of learning, the campus provides several facilities including sports facilities, university health care, students’ union, well equipped and modern workstations, study spaces, learning zones and social spaces. The university also offers a range of accommodation options on a first-come, first-served basis.
